Issuance Insurance will allow you to submit a new request for an SSL Certificate completely free of charge. Your SSL Certificate will be reissued with any existing validity that was remaining.

It is important to note that you will need to ensure your product includes Issuance Insurance or allows you to purchase it during the initial ordering process to be eligible for a replacement SSL Certificate.

If your order does not include Issuance Insurance and you unexpectedly lose your SSL Certificate or Private Key you will have to purchase the full priced product again.

Usually you can make a claim for Issuance Insurance during the validity of your SSL Certificate. Generally you can have your SSL Certificate issued an unlimited amount of times. If you are ordering a VeriSign® product, Issuance Insurance is valid for 30 days from the initial order date only. Additional fees and charges may be payable for VeriSign® products if you require a new SSL Certificate after 30 days.

Most of our production SSL Certificate products support the use of Issuance Insurance and details are available whilst placing an order, or within the product information pages. Site Seal products do not require the Issuance Insurance product as they are easily installed with html code.

If your SSL Certificate included Issuance Insurance or you have paid for Issuance Insurance you must use our Tracking system to begin the Issuance Insurance process. We recommend generating a new CSR and Private Key when using the Issuance Insurance service.
